To market, to market

WHEN it comes to cooking every Singaporean has one thing in common, and that's the importance of eating only the freshest ingredients.

As a result there are very few supermarkets in the Lion City, with the locals preferring to do their shopping on a daily basis at the many wet markets dotted through the neighbourhoods.

This is the market on one edge of Little India, a tick before 10am, and the local ladies are already busy gathering the goodies that will feed their families later in the day.
